The Anassa is one of the top hotels in the Med, and its effortless combination of elegance, exclusivity yet informality make it one of the most popular resorts on babygoes2. It's always offered its own excellent kids club, but those looking for childcare had to rely on the dates that Powder Byrne ran their own club at the hotel. After the success of the creche at sister hotel the Almyra in 2007, the Anassa is opening its own creche this year, from April. Like the Almyra's, it will be be run by the PB Kids franchise, which ensures a high standard of care in line with Ofsted - but it will be open to clients booking with any company or even direct with the hotel. Cyprus - exciting new option for self catering with hotel facilities including childcare!
Villas with resort style facilities including kids club - have been hugely popular with our visitors since we introduced some luxury options in 2006. We're VERY pleased therefore to have found another excellent option along the same lines - this time in Cyprus, just outside Paphos- Aphrodite Hills. The resort offers very high spec 2- 5 bedroomed apartments, townhouses and villas, along with restaurants good kids clubs from 3 yrs - teenagers (babysitting/nannies for younger children), golf, lovely spa, tennis, riding, nature trails. It's another ideal combination of self catering with luxury resort facilities - and prices are very competitive,with a 3 bedroom town house from just £1015 to £1190 weekly rental and a 5 bed villa from £2030 to £2730. Chateau Rigaud near Bordeaux - contemporary chic with childcare
Something very special. Chateau Rigaud is stunning - chic and stylish, but very comfortable and welcoming. The whole chateau (sleeps 16 plus 6 children) can be rented on a self catering basis(with breakfast included, cook and childcare option) or on a nightly per room basis in quiet times. The whole place is incredibly spacious - all the rooms are large and very comfortable, with good bathrooms. There are 3 kitchens in the wing (one for the cook if you choose that option) and 3 lounges, a huge well equipped playroom and childrens' art room, lovely main dining room and a private cinema which is fabulous. A good sized screen and plenty of comfy sofas with throws. When babygoes2 visited, the children just loved it - they had an early supper, after which they were settled down in the cinema in their pjs to watch a film while their parents relaxed with a drink.
The grounds are lovely - lots of grassy areas to play and relax in, a cherry orchard, landscaped gardens with 24000 spring bulbs (!) and a gorgeous heated pool (alarmed for safety).
The childcare is superb. It's headed up by Emily, who is a childcare professional, and she offers a full programme of really interesting activities including cooking, clay modelling, went nature/treasure hunts,rounders & football. Food for the children was great - healthy, home cooked and delicious. The owners, Anna and Aib are also lovely. Friendly, helpful and fun without being intrusive, they are on hand to make sure that their guests really enjoy themselves.
The chateau is very well located too - it's an easy drive from the airport at Bordeaux or Bergerac (about 40 mins) and only 10 mins from st Emilion and 5 mins away is a small lake beach area with activities for the children, and a larger one with lots to do about 20 mins drive away.
It's the ultimate luxury self catering with childcare option. It's ideal for groups of friends and family, and absolutely perfect for special celebrations. Ideal too,on a nightly per room basis, for a luxurious, relaxing break in stunning surroundings. It's a beautiful, traditional 300 year old Moroccan riad with plunge pool, built around a sunny central courtyard. Perfectly located in the heart of the old city (medina), down the cool Derbs of traditional Marrakech, this is real Morocco, seemingly unchanged for generations. The Riad is only a few short minutes walk from the main square (Djemaa El Fna) and very close to the Marrakech Museum and Medersa, within one of the oldest quarters (Ben Sallah). This lovely riad is owned by British couple, Dawn and Francis Boys-Stones, who live permanently in Marrakech, with their three children, and are on hand every day for any queries or information.
