The location of this lovely country home is amongst the finest in western Menorca. Dating back to 1922 when Ciutadella was the island's capital, the house and grounds originally formed the centrepiece of the estate belonging to the Count of Ciutadella who kept 80 acres for himself before distributing the remaining farmland amongst his nobility. Perched on the crest of a gentle hill, the views across open, rolling countryside to the sea are quite outstanding – at all times but especially dramatic at sunset. Despite being just 8km form Ciudadella and just 15 mins drive from the beautiful coves of north west menorca, Apara is a haven of peace and tranquillity where the most commons sounds are the tinkle of sheep bells and the chirping of crickets. With its extensive outside areas and newly gated pool for 2010, this is a superb option for groups of family or friends with children of any age. |

The living accommodation is laid out in traditional Menorquin style. All bedrooms are located on the ground floor allowing them to remain cooler than average in the heat of the summer. Upstairs, the focal point is the attractive sitting/dining room which boasts a full length shaded terrace from where the magnificent rural vista is really shown to its best. A further terrace on the opposite side of the house looks across to the island's highest point at Monte Toro.

This lovely country cottage has a real home from home feel and is in a rural setting very close to an unspoilt Menorquin town that offers all amenities and yet only a short drive from one of the island’s best beaches. The cottage is just over 1km from the old market town of Alayor, which can be reached in a couple of minutes in a car, but also in around 20 mins on foot via a rural track.The views over the hills and fruit tress are beautiful and restful, and just a few minutes drive brings you to the long golden sands on Son Bou. This is perhaps the ideal location in central Menorca – within easy reach of both the North and the old capital Ciudadella and the lovely pine backed coves, but also Mahon and the unspoilt southeast. |

It’s set in the unspoilt south east Binibeca/Binisafua area close to San Lluis, which is very Spanish in feel and has an excellent tapas bar and a small chidlrens playground. Binisafua is a very quiet resort, with a lovely sheltered cove beach with no development around it, with gently shelving water ideal for children. It’s very close to Binibeca, S’Alcufar and Punta Prima, all of which have plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops and facilities and the nearby village of S’Uestra has an excellent supermarket and 2 of the top restaurants on the island. |
