Glynn Barton Cottages, Cardinham, North Cornwall
Stay: Glynn Barton Cottages, Cardinham, North Cornwall www.glynnbarton.co.uk

Location: Glynn Barton Cottages are eight stunning 18th Century Cottages set in 13 acres located in the heart of North Cornwall and nestled down a long private drive with breathtaking views across the Glynn Valley – an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Since making the move from London in 2000, Andy and Lucy Orr and their young family have transformed the cluster of cottages into a haven of safety and tranquility. Children are free to run around and parents are free to relax safe in the knowledge that the nearest public road is almost a mile away and in between is nothing but lovingly tended gardens (Andy is a landscape gardener), acres of woodland, wonderful facilities and a host of friendly farm animals.

Like the Pied Piper himself Andy leads his mini-guests on the morning rounds hand feeding the animals and collecting the eggs – the highlight of many a junior guest’s stay!

Baby Swimming Courses with the Swim Academy for Babies
From November 6th for 4 weeks we will be running baby swimming courses for guests with children under 24 months. The ½ hour daily classes will be run from Saturday - Wednesday every morning and are included in the weekly rental. It is a family affair so all children and parents can be in the pool along with their baby sibling.
Accommodation: At Glynn Barton the Orr’s have created an environment where self catering really can be a holiday. As well as providing a host of facilities to keep you busy here’s what they can do for you.

The Shop. No need to cook - just nip into the shop (open 24/7) and pick up a delicious bang in the oven meal for you and the kids, organic baby food and lots of other local goodies.

The Pamper. Desperate for some time alone to relax - soothing massages can be booked in the Orr’s annex.

The Night Out. Need some quality time together without the kids - babysitting by registered a child minder can be arranged as well as somewhere wonderful to have supper.

The Lie In. How do you give your other half a lie in when the kids are in the room next door? Easy - head off to one of the many play areas and get together with all the other early risers leaving the cottage peaceful and quiet.

The Day Out. Don't have a day out have a day in. If you can't face packing up the car and going out for the day - you don't have to. With so much on offer there is plenty to keep everyone happy and busy.

The Maid Service Finally take the pressure off the house work with a mid week maid service.

All the cottages are unique and of a high standard excellently restored from the original stone and slate with beautiful exposed beams. Whatever time of year they are always warm and welcoming with central heating and cast iron stoves.

The cottages all boast light, spacious, contemporary country-style interiors with stylish comfy sofas, smooth wooden and slate floors, tongue and groove bathrooms and shaker style kitchens full of everything you would expect to find in your own home. They are all very well equipped with cots, highchairs, built in stair gates, bed guards, monitors, food blenders and child friendly crockery and cutlery.
