• Very friendly: children universally welcomed
• Great weather: hot and dry, especially early and late season.
• Dramatic and varied scenery – green hills and valleys, snowcapped mountains, golden sand beaches and
  azure seas.
• Unspoilt coastline and villages: much less developed than much of the Mediterranean (certainly those areas recommended below).
• Plenty of historical and cultural interest.
• Very reasonable price-wise for packages, cheap to eat out.

Things to think about:

• Longish flight (4 hrs).
• Fairly lengthy transfers.
• Very hot in high summer.
• Not as sophisticated as the northern Mediterranean.
