Periyali Villas
Stay:

Periyali villas Vassilikos. Beautifully refurbished 2-3 bedroom family villas, each with small private pool, close to the famous ‘Turtle Beach’ at Gerakas, sleeping from 2 – 6 guests. Large shared pool with separate children’s pool. Offers the ideal combination of self catering, childcazre and on site facilities, but set within a small, quiet, unspoilt environment.

Location:

Ideally located, just 700m nearest village with shops, Porto Roma. Plenty of tavernas and Zakynthos Town close enough for day/evening trips by car. The resort is set just above a little shingle cove, 10 minutes walk from a long sandy beach. Walk is attractive, past animals etc and is fine for a buggy.

Accommodation:

Eleven newly refurbished two-bedroom villas and one 3-bedroom villa, set in spacious grounds, each with its own small pool and private garden terrace with barbecue.All with open-plan kitchen-dining-living area with air conditioning, full cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, TV, CD/DVD and bath and/or shower room Private swimming pools approx. 5m x 3m (depth 1.2m)

The Peligoni Club

The Peligoni Club, Zakynthos

Location:

The Peligoni Club is in Zakynthos, the largest most southerly of the Ionian Islands to the West of Greece.

The Club itself is situated in the North, which is relatively untouched.  It is a 3 hour direct flight from London.Transfers or car hire can be arranged

Accommodation:

The accommodation at Peligoni is an eclectic mix of Greek and English villas, ranging from large converted farmhouses, to luxurious contemporary modern villas, to simple studios and boutique rooms.  Some are within walking distance of the Club, others a short drive. All give the opportunity to enjoy the freedom and privacy of a stand alone villa, and yet with access to all the hotel facilities when required.

An In Villa dining service is available, as well as a pre arrival shopping service. Most accommodation has either shared or private pool.

Facilities:

The Club is members only, offering all the facilities of a 5* boutique hotel without any of the pomp and circumstance. It has a beautiful pool, restaurant, a variety of concierge style services such as food hampers or cook service. It's a great place for watersports - with windsurfing and sailing equipment to suit those from beginners to the more experienced. There are kayaks and stand up paddleboards also available

There are cycles for hire and guided tours - in 2015 one of these was hosted by Chris Hoy no less!

Tennis is also popular at the Club, tuition available, and in 2017 there will be a family tennis tournament, complete with Pimms, trophies and strawberries and cream.

The Club is also home to the fabulous Goat shed spa, as well as their fitness centre with fully trained instructors on hand to help with your fitness needs, offering complementary classes, including Yoga and Pilates.  

There are organised trips available - everything  from monastary walks to boat trips.

There are a number of catering options - from in villa shopping, hampers or even a private cook. Or of course there is the excellent Club restaurant.

Child Care:

A  purpose built crèche, offering three sessions per day (each of 3 hours). Parents can leave their youngest in the care of  fully qualified and vetted nannies, safe in the knowledge they will be properly looked after and cared for. 

Crèche facilities work on a strict ratio basis and as such should be booked well in advance to avoid disappointment. There is a charge for the creche, but evening sessions from 7pm-11pm is free for those eating in restaurant.

The Club also offers informal in-villa babysitting services from 7pm onwards charged at 15€ per hour for a minimum of 3 hours,

For children from 4 – 12 yrs there is an informal Kids Club, where activities are put on, at least twice every day, that they can choose to get involved in or not. Peligoni believe in an opt-in rather than opt- out approach that they find kids are naturally drawn to and enjoy. Activities include things such as face-painting, treasure hunts, and pizza making to name but a few.

For teens: for summer 2017 there will be a new area called The Yard Bar and a range of teen tailored activities.

The Kids Club is free to children of members.

Price guide:

Peligoni Villas start from £756 per week all the way up to £18,000 for a large, peak season luxurious property. Club membership is from £140 to £245 per adult, per week, depending on season. 0-3 yr old are free, and children pay from £70 to £175 depending on age and season
