Location:

Set just a few hundred metres from the sea in a perfect central location in unspoilt Puglia, this very stylish luxury resort is perfect for families travelling with baby or children.  Bordering the ancient ruins of Egnazia to the north, and the unspoilt village of Savelletri to the south, Borgo Egnazia offers a central location from which to explore the surrounding region such as the labyrinth-like caves of Castellana, the intricate baroque architecture of Lecce, and the intriguing trulli in towns such as Ostuni, Cisternino Alberobello. The whole region is a very happy combination of fascinating towns, olive groves, sandy beaches and bright turquoise sea. The resort is ideally suited for all ages, perfect for babies, children teenagers and grown ups - and even at peak season it feels calm as there is so much space.

The resort is an oasis of style and calm – rooms and suites(63) are decorated entirely in shades of white, and locally quarried limestone walls harmonise with the decor’s cream and taupe hues, creating a stunning contrast to the sapphire sea and sky. Fittings are top notch:from sumptuous bedding to serene spa-style bathrooms. There is a village area too, where one- and two-bedroom townhouses offer an elevated level of exclusivity, complete with simple self catering facilities, private Arab gardens, balconies and rooftop terraces. There are also 28 three-bedroom private villas – with the same calm, stylish décor and high quality fixtures. The villas have private gardens, rooftop terraces overlooking the sea, and each villa features its own private pool and wraparound terrace. Villas can also be interconnected to accommodate families and large groups with up to 12 bedrooms.

Great location - just 2km from shops, restaurants and a great bakery in Carpignano, and a ten minute drive from the white sands and chic beachfront bars of Torre dell’Orso . The beautiful town of Lecce, with its baroque architecture and fabulous restaurants is just 20 km away. Brindisi airport is just 65 km away, and Bari 170km

 

Accommodation:

Huge timber doors lead to the courtyard, which is large enough for a game of badminton and houses a pizza oven, barbecue and big dining table under pergola shade. An external staircase leads to a sun drenched roof terrace, an arched portico shelters the doorways to three en suite bedrooms, and shuttered French windows link the al fresco space with an open-plan living room and kitchen, where stainless steel and contemporary art complement country style furnishings.

A guest annexe provides a further two bedrooms, while additional outdoor space comes in the walled garden which surrounds a fifteen metre pool and lovely al fresco lunch spot. Full details are:
