Casale Villarena, Amalfi Coast
Stay:

Casale Villarena

Location:
Worlds away from the busier spots of Sorrento and Amalfi, Nerano is a small fishing village which, despite its two Michelin-starred restaurants, has retained a charming out-of-the-way atmosphere.  Set amidst the gorgeous landscape of the Punta Campanella marine nature reserve, the village is built into the hillside overlooking the pretty little bay of Marina del Cantone below. Whether you're travelling with baby or children, this is a great family-friendly base from which to explore this beautiful region.

Nerano is well-located for exploring the whole peninsula.  Sorrento is approximately 15km away and Positano just over 30km.  Pompeii and Herculaneum are a little further but well worth the trip.
Accommodation:

Accommodation is in one of five comfortable family-style apartments, each with one or two bedrooms,  a balcony or terrace and a kitchen making it very easy when travelling with baby in tow.   Situated either in the grounds of the main villa or just a few yards from the main entrance to the Casale, all the apartments have sea views. Fuernished in simple Italian style, the interiors are practical, spacious and bright.

The swimming pool and children's play areas are on level terraces amongst lemon and olive trees.

Facilities:

The swimming pool and childrens play area are located on level terraces in the grounds of the hotel.

For children:

Excursions can be organised through the owner, with Italian cooking, farm excursions and boat trips being family favourites.
